About Don’t Stop and CIFS
Don’t Stop 08 is the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies’ third Don’t Stop conference aimed at highlighting future opportunities, trends and directions for companies, governments and individuals. We believe that this year’s conference will be a great complement to the previous successes as we build on the ground work and experiences from Don’t Stop 01 and Don't Stop 02 (2006 and 2007) to deliver tested and actionable tools for new futures. Happy Capitalism will provides you with a wealth of directions and inspirations for your future strategies!

Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies
The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies has more than 35 years’ experience in corporate foresight. The objective of the Institute is to strengthen the basis for decision-making in public and private organisations by creating awareness of the future and highlighting its importance to the present.

CIFS is part of a global network and participates regularly in conferences and roundtables. These exchanges of new ideas and visions provide the Institute with a global perspective and a strong basis for multinational projects. Due to its size, a highly educated and experienced staff and co-operation with other international research teams, the Institute is capable of taking on a wide variety of tasks, from one-off projects to highly complex international ambitions.

The History of CIFS
CIFS was founded in 1970 by Professor Thorkil Kristensen, former Minister of Finance and Secretary-General of the OECD. It was set up in co-operation with a number of visionary organisations wanting to qualify their basis for making decisions through futures studies. Since then, CIFS has been leading the development of new working methods and analysis tools. These are regularly revised and improved in line with the new knowledge and experience it creates and collates through its own work as well as through an extensive network of contacts with research communities around the world.
